Nowadays, everyone has an opinion, and here's mine :) What I recommend to wear in a photo shoot is dependent on how many people are appearing in the images. And, Keep It Simple!
- Individual photo sessions for head shots for business, on-line profile or dating sites and social media, think less is more! Go with a simple neckline or clean collared shirt. Medium to dark tones work best and solids are better than prints. Simply because they are distracting from the subject, which is you!
- Some couples prefer to match, and should still wear solids in medium to dark tones. However if you prefer to wear different colors, make sure they are complementary to each other or in the same color family.
- I always advise the same principles for groups as couples. Keep the majority of the group in a couple of colors, but feel free to add in a few prints of the same color family to add in dimension & interest. But don't over do it!
A great example of keeping it simple with 2 basic colors... blue & white! It looks clean and cohesive :)
