Engagement Photos!

When it comes to photographing people, capturing their true essence is always my goal! Karyn Laver owns a dance studio,  The Dance Network, and Kyle is one of her amazing dancers! Together they are a whole lotta fun! Normal? Eh not so much. Fun? OH HELL YES!!! It was important to let their personalities shine through! And it was important for me to be ready when they were performing and being themselves :) It's always a process, but our silliness & willingness helped us accomplish this...

Magnificent Women!

It's Boudoir Season! And Valentine's Day is the perfect time to give a sexy photo to your significant other ;) It makes a woman feel special to have her hair and make-up done professionally and photographed by me! Someone once said to me... "It's not just a photo session... it's an experience!" It is my goal to make it fun & create beautiful images of my clients at any age!

Come and have your experience with me!!!!!!!

Family Photos

Over the holidays, I keep very busy photographing family photos! This year I ran a Holiday Photo Special and I had a lot of new & returning clients :) Every photo session is unique as the individual and I never know where I will end up! I enjoy the challenge of finding the special moments that occur naturally. I had a great season & wanted to share with you some of my favorite family photos from right here in Santa Barbara...

These are the WINNERS of the FREE photo session I did for going to my website & telling me what their favorite photo was! Hannah & Brett are so glad they did! Thank you for supporting me :)

What to WEAR for your next Photo Session!?

Nowadays, everyone has an opinion, and here's mine :) What I recommend to wear in a photo shoot is dependent on how many people are appearing in the images. And, Keep It Simple!

  • Individual photo sessions for head shots for business, on-line profile or dating sites and social media, think less is more! Go with a simple neckline or clean collared shirt. Medium to dark tones work best and solids are better than prints. Simply because they are distracting from the subject, which is you!

  • Some couples prefer to match, and should still wear solids in medium to dark tones. However if you prefer to wear different colors, make sure they are complementary to each other or in the same color family.

  • I always advise the same principles for groups as couples. Keep the majority of the group in a couple of colors, but feel free to add in a few prints of the same color family to add in dimension & interest. But don't over do it!

A great example of keeping it simple with 2 basic colors... blue & white!  It looks clean and cohesive :)
